Whether you choose to write you Will yourself or pay someone to do it for you, follow these three steps:

MAKE A PLAN

Consider talking to friends and family about your intentions, they might have some suggestions you haven’t considered. Make a plan as to what you would like to leave in your Will.

WRITE IT DOWN

There are various ways to record your wishes from basic intentions to a specialist Will. The amount will depend on the complexities, however you can purchse a template from most stationery shops.

LEGALLY VALID

Your Will doesn’t ahve to be on special paper or use legal language. However it legally must: (i) say how your estate should be shared (ii) you can make your own decisions and not under pressure (iii) it is signed, dated and witnessed by two peole in yoru presence.

The Financial Conduct Authority does not regulate Will writing.
